ParkMobile fully operational; Parking Enforcement resumed

(SACRAMENTO)

We’re pleased to share that all issues related to the May 5, 2025, ParkMobile system migration have been resolved or worked around. As of Tuesday, May 20, Parking Services has not observed any further problems. With this progress, full parking enforcement resumed today, Wednesday, May 21.

What You Need to Know:

  • Extending Your Parking Session:
If you can't purchase a new daily permit because your previous session hasn’t expired, open your active session in ParkMobile and select “Extend” to add another day. This is a temporary workaround, and we expect to be able to start a new session as usual and return in the coming weeks.
  • Distance Warning Messages:
If you receive a warning about your distance from the parking location, you can safely click “Continue” to complete your purchase.

What Happened?

On May 5, ParkMobile migrated UC Davis Health to a new platform. While the transition was intended to be seamless, it unfortunately introduced several unexpected issues for daily users. Rather than reverting the changes, ParkMobile opted to “fail forward” and resolve the problems on the new system—a process that took time and effort.

Now that the migration is complete, we anticipate a stable experience. ParkMobile is also working closely with our Parking Services team to implement new safeguards and prevent similar disruptions in the future.

Thank You

To everyone who encountered challenges during this transition, thank you for your patience and persistence and for continuing to report issues. Your cooperation was instrumental in helping us resolve.
