KNCI Radiothon raises funds for UC Davis Children’s Hospital Dec. 11-12

During this season of giving, a country radio station has joined the effort to raise funds to support initiatives at UC Davis Children’s Hospital.

This new fundraiser is hosted by KNCI 105.1 FM.

The inaugural Country Cares for Kids Radiothon will air live on Thursday, Dec. 11 and Friday, Dec. 12.

Throughout both days, radio listeners will hear powerful stories of courage and healing from local patient families and UC Davis pediatric care teams. Listeners will have multiple ways of donating money that directly supports programs, research, equipment and patient care to benefit children at UC Davis Children’s Hospital.

Raising funds through the radio has a meaningful legacy for children’s hospitals.

“Radiothon was the founding initiative for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals and has remained one of the most powerful fundraising traditions for over 40 years, elevating pediatric care across North America,” said Kacie Merrick, program director of Children’s Miracle Network at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. “We are honored to be part of this inaugural KNCI Radiothon, bringing comfort, joy, and healing to families across Northern California.”

Here’s how you can support this inaugural event:

• Tune in: Listen to KNCI 105.1 FM from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 11 and 12 for live stories, interviews and miracle moments.
• Give: TextDAVIS to 34984 anytime to donate, or donate online or pledge your gift live on-air by calling 855-416-9482 on Dec. 11 and 12 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. to give a one-time gift. You can also offer a monthly gift of $25, which makes you a Miracle Maker. The recurring gift will provide steady, reliable funding that enhances treatment, expands essential programs and delivers world-class care to every child who needs it. 
• Spread the Word: One of the most impactful things you can do is help share the Radiothon with your community. Post on your social media channels and encourage friends and family to tune in.
