These faculty members contribute to the Institute through their research, teaching, and clinical service. They come from UC Davis Health and the University of California, Davis campuses, encompassing a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise. New faculty applications will be carefully reviewed by the Membership Committee. They will then make a recommendation to the Executive Committee, who will conduct a final review. The Chair of the Membership Committee will inform the applicant about the decision made by the Executive Committee. If appointed, faculty members will serve for a period of three years.
Every three years, faculty members will undergo a review by the Membership Committee. This review will evaluate their ongoing eligibility as faculty based on the criteria mentioned earlier. The Membership Committee will then provide a recommendation to the Executive Committee for final review. The Chair of the Membership Committee will communicate the status of the faculty appointment to the faculty member.
It's important to note that the term "faculty" is used in a broader sense in this context. It includes individuals in various roles, such as those in the Professional Research Series and Staff Psychologists, as long as they meet the membership criteria.
