Philosophy of Care

I provide an unbiased evaluation for every new patient, which includes taking a thorough history and performing a detailed physical exam.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Zhao is a behavioral neurologist with fellowship training in Aging & Dementia. She sees patients with cognitive impairment and dementia in the Midtown Healthy Aging Neurology Clinic. She has special clinical interest and expertise in patients with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and primary progressive aphasia (PPA).

Research/Academic Interests

Dr. Zhao has a M.S. in Epidemiology from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. Her clinical research focuses on lifestyle protective and risk factors for dementia. She is interested in factors underlying cognitive reserve and resiliency.
