The Clinical Hematology and Coagulation Laboratory, located in the main hospital, operates 24/7 to support the Emergency Department, Inpatient units (including Operating Rooms), and Outpatient services. Selected hematology tests are also performed at the Cancer Center Laboratory located across the street from the Emergency Department.
Hematology Testing
The laboratory provides a comprehensive menu of routine and specialized hematologic testing. Cases exhibiting significant or unusual abnormalities are referred to a Pathologist for expert review and interpretation, with diagnostic reports submitted to the patient’s electronic medical record.
