The faculty and staff of the Clinical Laboratory are committed to provide exceptional and quality driven results for every test. The Department of Clinical Pathology performs about 2.5 million tests annually and offers a wide variety of state-of the-art testing to our patients.

The "Pavilion" Laboratory (Transfusion Medicine, Automated Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Specimen Receipt and Processing) provides services 24 hours per day, 7 days per week in direct support of all hospital inpatient areas, emergency medicine, OR and trauma. Select STAT services are also available at the Specialty Testing Center Laboratory which houses the Microbiology, Special Chemistry, Toxicology, Molecular Pathology, Immunology and Flow cytometry sections.

Specimen Collection Services

Patients may have their specimens collected from several convenient locations, including inpatient areas of the hospital, the Emergency Department, or one of our Patient Service Centers located in surrounding communities. The Laboratory also provides courier services for physicians who prefer to collect specimens within their offices.
