The shock of a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, and patients and their families may experience a feeling of loss of control. By fostering a doctor-patient relationship based on open communication and mutual respect, I strive to provide a sense of understanding and compassion by listening carefully to my patients and providing ample time to explain all treatment options inside and outside of the operating room. Acknowledging this is a challenging time, I am honored to partner with my patients to tailor a personalized care plan that achieves the best outcome modern medicine has to offer while minimizing treatment-related side effects. I hope to help patients and family members reclaim that lost control and gain a sense of empowerment in their journey through diagnosis, treatment, recovery and survivorship.
Dr. Braun is a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist who treats tumors of the prostate, kidney, adrenal, bladder, testis and other genitourinary organs. Dr. Braun's research interests include integrating implementation science and quality improvement methodologies to improve equitable care delivery to all patients diagnosed with a urologic cancer. Her work will focus on identifying and addressing barriers to care by better understanding the impact non-medical factors called social determinants of health have on her patients’ wellbeing and health outcomes. Furthermore, Dr. Braun is an active contributor to medical literature which allows her to offer her patients the most up-to-date information on all available treatment options and clinical trials.
