Ms. Haggitt joined the Center for Healthcare Policy and Research (CHPR) in October 2018 as the Statewide Health Systems Coordinator for the CA Quits project. Through this work, Ms. Haggitt will provide technical assistance, as well as coordinate and collaborate with statewide provider organizations, such as FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center), to engage in health systems change to integrate evidence-based tobacco treatments and increase performance on tobacco related quality improvement metrics.

Prior to joining CA Quits, Ms. Haggitt worked for three years in tobacco prevention and control within the Tribal Healthcare System in Alaska providing technical assistance, tobacco treatment services, and focusing on healthcare systems change. Her past experience also includes working in behavioral health and clinical settings providing case management and support services.

Shannon earned her B.A. in psychology from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and her M.S.W. from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis.
