Although more and more vaccines against it are being distributed and administered, the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage. In fact, the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) cites circulation of a more infectious variant of the virus that causes COVID-19 among reasons that fighting the pandemic may be even tougher this year than last. It’s therefore more critical than ever that we all wear masks or other face coverings in the fight against COVID-19.

That’s why UC Davis, with support from the UC Davis Center for Healthcare Policy and Research (CHPR), has launched the “Every Aggie Together” Mask Contest, a competition to encourage UC Davis students, employees and faculty to produce public campaign messages that will encourage everyone to wear masks correctly and consistently. Contest entries should answer the question “Why is it important to wear a mask?” and be posted for public display on contestants’ social media accounts. Prizes include a Macbook Pro, Apple iPad Air, Apple Watch, and UC Davis face coverings!

Entries are being accepted now through Friday, February 5 at 11:59 pm. For more information, including official contest rules and entry forms, please visit the UC Davis Contests and Promotions webpage.
