Mandeville is a Nurse Professional Development Specialist at UC Davis Health with a strong focus on leadership development, professional practice, and health equity. Her work centers on designing and facilitating meaningful learning experiences that strengthen nursing practice and support the growth of emerging nurse leaders.
Misty co-leads the Rising Nurse Leaders program, a two-year leadership development initiative that prepares nurses to expand their influence and impact within the health system.
Misty’s contributions to nursing and health equity have been recognized through several honors, including the Chancellor’s Award for Inclusive Excellence and the ACNL Excellence in Clinical Practice Award. She is also an American Nurses Association California Advocacy Institute LGBTQIA+ Equity in Nursing Fellow, where she contributes to advancing equity-focused policy, research, and practice at the state and national level.
She is deeply committed to advancing equity in both patient care and the nursing workforce. Misty partners with interdisciplinary teams and employee resource groups to develop education and programming that reflects and supports diverse communities. Her work in LGBTQ+ health and inclusive nursing practice includes curriculum development, national presentations, and contributions to broader conversations on equity in healthcare.
