Mandatory Employee Training

Stethoscope on Keyboard

All employees - staff, academics, faculty, and student employees - must take Mandatory Employee Training. Mandatory training requirements for UC Davis Health employees are outlined below.

Employees can check the UC Learning Center and review their Learner Dashboard to review any training assignments and their Training Transcript to confirm they have completed assigned training.

Employees will receive a series of notifications as a training due date approaches reminding them to complete assignments. Once a training assignment has expired, both the employee and their manager will receive overdue notifications. Overdue notifications will continue until the assignment is completed.

Managers can confirm their employees’ completion by accessing the UC Learning Center and selecting Manager Dashboard.

  • Mandatory Annual Training

UC Davis Health is the only academic health system in the region that views health care on a regional, national, and even international level for areas that are vulnerable and need improvement. Annual training is an opportunity to be current with topics of importance and polish skills that may not have been used recently. Reviews of personal skills and/or information deficits are assisted through regulatory agencies and accreditation organizations. Therefore, the UC Davis Health workforce should take the opportunity to benefit from the work put in by regulatory agencies and the UC Davis Health departments in identifying key areas of focus to provide person-centered care in the best way, at the best time, and in the best place – UC Davis Health.
