The NICHE Knowledge Center, offered by Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE), is a comprehensive online resource center dedicated to geriatric care. It provides a variety of virtual content tailored for care of older adults, including modules, webinars, pocket cards, and other resources. These materials are invaluable for those looking to enhance, develop, and support strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes.

UC Davis Health employees have access to this center to further their understanding of best practices in geriatric patient care.

Resources Available Through the NICHE Knowledge Center

Available learning pathways and modules (some can be completed as standalone modules, others must be completed as a pathway to receive credit):

  • Introduction to Gerontology: 4 modules (4.5 CE hours)
  • Geriatric Resource Nurse (GRN): 17 modules (14.5 CE hours)
  • Critical Care Nursing of Older Adults: (4.5 CE hours)
  • Nursing Care of the Older Adult with Cancer: (5 CE hours)
