Small Dose, Big Impact: Patient grateful for OB/GYN’s peer collaboration
Lauriane Tondow admired when her physician took an extra step behind the scenes.
Bedside manner counts for a lot, but some patients admire when their physicians take an extra step behind the scenes.
Such is the case for Lauriane Tondow, who noticed how her physician went beyond expectations. Tondow’s physician is Bahareh Nejad, an obstetrician-gynecologist and director of the Division of Robotic Surgery.
Nejad not only respects and comforts her patients, she also taps the power of collective expertise at UC Davis Health, by consulting with colleagues on her patient’s behalf.
Read Tondow’s letter complimenting her physician:
Dr. Nejad is my gynecologist. I started to see her 2-3 years ago. I have seen many doctors over the past few years and she is, by far, my favorite. She is smart, knowledgeable and surgically skilled.
I also appreciate her straightforward, no-nonsense, honest and practical approach to diagnosis and treatment. Her bedside manner is very comforting and caring.
I’ve been dealing with multiple medical issues lately and she is always prepared for my appointments and thorough in her treatment strategies. She also consults with other physicians on my behalf, which, in my experience, doesn’t usually happen with my other physicians.
I completely trust Dr. Nejad and I’m very happy that she is part of my medical team. She cares, she’s got my back and that is very comforting to me.
Congratulations to Dr. Nejad on positively impacting this patient’s experience!
