Chief Financial Officer Tim Maurice announces his retirement

Wrapping up more than 50 years of professional work, Tim Maurice has announced he will be retiring from UC Davis Health next year. As the system’s Chief Financial Officer since 2011, Maurice has overseen the financial operations of UC Davis Health, including the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Medical Center, clinics, and the faculty practice plan.

“We will deeply miss Tim’s leadership and talents, which have proven invaluable as we’ve innovated and improved health care on so many fronts for our patients and community,” said UC Davis Health CEO David Lubarsky. “Tim is simply one of the best in his field – for more than 40 years he has served admirably and with great respect in health care financial management.  Tim’s approach to being a CFO is inspiring, refreshing, and efficient. Finding someone to follow him will not be an easy task.”

While Maurice plans to be with the organization until April 2022, a search for his successor is getting underway now. Moving forward, UC Davis Health is committed to a smooth and seamless transition, especially with many important financial projects underway, including funds flow conversion, conversion to Lawson for all of financials, and a move to multi-year budgeting.
