Reminder: MIND parking lot closure, DOJ lot re-opening, additional parking all coming soon

(SACRAMENTO)

Parking Lot 25 is scheduled to close Monday, April 29, to begin site preparations and construction of Parking Structure 7.

The timing of the closure will coincide with the re-opening of the Department of Justice (DOJ) parking lot on the same date. When reopened, the DOJ parking - on 50th St., across from Kiwanis Family House - will add 98 parking spaces for staff.

To provide additional alternative parking for staff when Lot 25 closes, Parking and Transportation will move its valet parking from Parking Structure 4 to Parking Structure 5, thus creating 64 additional parking spaces in PS4.

Finally, with the addition of two new lots—Parking Lot 22 Auxiliary, adjacent to Parking Lot 22, and the MIND West parking lot—a combined 100 new spaces will be available.

The Broadway Building continues to have ample parking and an increase in 30 B permit spaces. Shuttle services stop at Broadway every 5 to 7 minutes.

Staff are encouraged to download JAPA (“Just Another Parking App”), which provides real-time access to available parking spaces on the Sacramento campus.
