Reducing Fall Risk in Older Adults with Hydrocephalus

UC Davis researchers report that shunt surgery significantly lowers fall rates among older adults with normal pressure hydrocephalus. The study found that patients experienced improved mobility and balance following the procedure. These outcomes suggest that surgical intervention can help reduce fall-related injuries in this population.
