Multidisciplinary Team Cures Pregnant Woman of Spinal Fluid Cyst

UC Davis Health specialists collaborated to surgically treat a pregnant patient’s rare anterior sacral meningocele, preventing life-threatening complications for both mother and fetus. Their multidisciplinary approach enabled safe pregnancy management despite complex anatomical challenges. The patient delivered a healthy preterm infant following successful intervention.

What Does Resilience Show about Healthy Aging After Trauma?

A UC Davis-led landmark study of more than 500 older Vietnamese Americans examined how war-time trauma, displacement and immigration experiences affect aging and brain health. Findings suggest resilience may help soften the long-term mental health effects of war-related trauma and offer insight that could inform healthier aging strategies.
