Help greet new hires! Become a New Employee Welcome ambassador

The New Employee Welcome (NEW) is a critical introductory event that helps new employees feel welcomed and informed in a supportive, social environment. At each NEW, employees will learn about UC Davis Health’s unique mission, culture and offerings, meet executives and other leaders, enjoy delicious food and score great swag.

How to help

To make these events a great experience for our new team members, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to serve as New Employee Welcome ambassadors.

As an Ambassador, you’ll assist with:

• Setting up the program room
• Greeting and welcoming new employees
• Checking in participants

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with new employees and help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Time commitment

Ambassadors are asked to commit to a two hour shift from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., for at least five shifts a year. All New Employee Welcome events will be held at the Education Building.
