Open Enrollment: All employees with a UC plan will have access to primary care

For employees who may be considering a health plan change in 2024, UC Davis Health welcomes you. We are prepared to take care of our employees and their dependents.

Access 

Primary care is open to you. We currently have 19 open physicians across our primary care clinics, with more primary care physicians onboarding in the new year. We have also onboarded more advanced practice providers (APPs) to provide additional clinical support.   

For assistance finding a UC Davis Health primary care physician with appointments available in January, call our employee liaison line at 916-734-1700. This line has been specially established as part of our commitment to employees. 

Cost 

UC Davis Health is one of the most affordable options. Specifically, UC Blue & Gold allows you to access UC Davis Health care at one of the lowest monthly costs.

Other considerations 

UC Davis Health primary care remains closed only to outside insurance plans to ensure we have plenty of resources to take great care of existing and employee patients.  

Access challenges are not unique to UC Davis Health. The U.S. is experiencing a nationwide physician shortage. Recruitment is a top priority at UC Davis Health, to continue to provide the best care in the region.
