Small Dose, Big Impact: When food and a friendly face make a huge difference

(SACRAMENTO)

During her hospital stay at the Davis 3 Birthing Suites in July, Ana soon looked forward to the kind smile that accompanied her meals. Food and Nutrition Services employee Muni Reddy consistently treated Ana with the utmost care.

After she was discharged back home to Lodi, Ana emailed a compliment:

Muni is a caring employee who always has a great attitude and makes sure you’re doing good! Super polite, always smiling and he shows that he truly cares about his job.

Since the first day I was hospitalized, he would come in to bring me my breakfast and lunch and always made me feel cared for and valued as a patient. He truly makes an impact in my life and makes this tough time a bit easier with his kindness!

When Muni learned of the impact he had on Ana’s experience, he said, “It makes me happy that I was able to make a patient's stay memorable. I try to make the patients smile when I visit them.”

Congratulations to Muni on this positive patient feedback!

The Small Dose, Big Impact series recognizes employees who take the extra step, however tiny, to make meaningful connections with patients. Better health takes more than health care. Believe in better.
