Bi-annual traffic data collection to take place Wednesday

Starting today (Tuesday evening), Facilities Planning has initiated its bi-annual traffic data collection effort at the Sacramento Campus, partnering with Fehr & Peers, a professional traffic consulting firm. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to monitor and improve campus mobility and infrastructure planning.

Temporary video equipment will be mounted at key campus intersections and parking lot driveways. These devices will begin recording tonight and will be removed by Thursday. The data vendor will collect traffic counts from the cameras during two key windows: early Wednesday morning and again in the afternoon.

The traffics cameras will be for observation and data collection only. Footage will not be used for anything else.
