Celebrating women who inspire during Women’s History Month

Staff share their inspirations

(SACRAMENTO)

March is Women’s History Month.

Whether personal, professional, or historical, women across the centuries have inspired us in many ways—to be brave, kind, strong, resilient, wise, rebellious, reflective, and so much more.

Staff submitted several nominations to Public Affairs and Marketing. Four nominations were highlighted on March 3. Below are the remaining nominations from UC Davis Health community members:

“I would like to recognize Ginni Rometty, author of the book, “Good Power,” and former CEO of IBM. Rometty overcame many challenges in her life, including being an orphan and overcoming boundaries while becoming a leader. She transformed one of the greatest technology companies, IBM, into a leading enterprise company. Every day, she showed staff the culture of ‘good power’ in her leadership, and in her book, she shares these principles.”
