Construction notification: California Tower roof tar application

Update: Thursday, April 2, through Friday, April 10, 7 a.m.-3 p.m., the California Tower team will apply roof tar to the perimeter of level 4, adjacent to the SESP roof.

Please note the following details of the activity:

• Roof tar will produce unpleasant odors outside around the structure, similar to burned rubber from car tires.

• Carbon filters and heavy-duty filters will be in place on the SESP air intakes to prevent smell intrusion into the building.

• If wind speeds exceed 15 mph during this activity, work will pause for winds to slow or be rescheduled.
