Update: Alternative pedestrian path on 49th Street will close for one week
Update (5/27/2025):
Monday, June 2, through Friday, June 6, the Central Utility Plant Expansion (CUPx) team will be performing work on 49th Street that temporarily closes the additional alternative pedestrian path previously put in place due to the original pedestrian access closure south of the Facility Support Service Building (FSSB) adjacent to Parking Structure 6 (PS6) and the wide-open space.
Please note the following details of this activity:

The preferred alternative route on 45th Street will remain open.

Egress out of the south side of the FSSB as well as PS6 will remain open.

Update (5/19/2025):
From Monday, May 19, through Monday, Dec. 1, the Central Utility Plant Expansion (CUPx) team will be performing a variety of tasks in and around the Facility Support Service Building (FSSB) in preparation for the new Parking Structure 6 (PS6) Driveway west of the FSSB.

Impacts include the following:

Vehicular traffic south of the FSSB (PO&M Shop Driveway) will be restricted to PO&M and emergency vehicle access.

Pedestrian traffic into the FSSB from the wide-open space will be restricted with alternative routes down 45th Street to 2nd Avenue or 49th Street to 2nd Avenue. Egress out of the south side of the FSSB will be maintained. Once occupants have exited the building they will be directed to the east.
