Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks donors for study

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine's Clinical Lab is seeking healthy donors for a normal reference range study of PT-INR testing using a new reagent material. Donor blood draw is one blue top tube.

Donor screening conditions are the following:

• no anticoagulant meds

• no known bleeding disorder

• no oral contraceptives

• no history of liver disease

• no vigorous exercise past 24 hours

• not pregnant 

Donors can be optionally compensated with a $5 UCDMC Pavilion Cafeteria credit after signing a consent waiver.

Donors  are asked to visit the Clinical Lab window on second floor of the Pavilion (2P340, next to Blood Bank) for blood to be will be drawn on July 8 - 12, 2024, from 12 - 2:30 p.m. Please email Thomas Maxwell at tamaxwell@ucdavis.edu with any questions.
