At UC Davis Health, submitting your timesheet each pay period is a small but essential task that helps keep everything running smoothly—from ensuring you get paid on time to supporting the behind-the-scenes teams who serve you.

Employees and their supervisors are both responsible for making sure time is recorded accurately and the correct pay codes are used. This helps Payroll process paychecks on schedule and reduces the workload on Human Resources and Payroll staff so they can focus on supporting you and your department.

Even after a timesheet deadline has passed, employees and supervisors are still obligated to correct any issues and approve the accuracy of timesheets. If an error is found or a timesheet needs approval, both parties can still go in up to 90 days later to make corrections and approve as needed. While this rolling 90-day window offers flexibility, it’s best to address any timesheet issues as soon as possible to avoid delays.
