Several wellness activities are available to members of the UC Davis and UC Davis Health community. Check out the events happening in March:

For the latest in nutrition, ask the dietitian

Join a Q&A style panel with three UC Davis Health registered dietitians, available to take questions from the audience in real-time. Participants are also welcome to submit questions beforehand in this registration survey.

March well-being ticket deal

This month the Mondavi Center presents Sphinx Virtuosi, a chamber orchestra of leading Black and Latinx musicians celebrated for their polish and tonal allure, joined by acclaimed violinist Randall Goosby for a dynamic program of new and classic works.

Tai Chi weekly sessions

"Tai Chi Chuan” is a gentle meditation in motion that blends exercise and martial art. These sessions are held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on the Davis campus and via Zoom at noon.

Days of the week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Time: Noon – 1 p.m.

Women’s health workshop series

This hybrid workshop series offered by UC Riverside Human Resources Faculty Staff Wellness invites UC community members to better understand and support their body through key biological transitions. Sessions will include expert-led movement and practical information on topics such as hormonal changes and setting personal boundaries. Participants have the option to join virtually or in-person.

Building your first budget

A well-designed budget can help you reach your goals and achieve financial independence without having to sacrifice all of life’s pleasures. Budgeting means analyzing the income you have coming in and then developing a reasonable plan for what goes out. This workshop, presented by University Credit Union, is part of a financial well-being series presented in partnership with Staff Assembly.

Live online mindfulness meditation, kindness meditation and mindful pause:

Focus on your health and well-being and strengthen your inner resources with science-based mindfulness meditation, kindness meditation, and mindful pause. Neesha Patel, Ph.D., Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being, will lead these sessions.

Relax and release series

Taking time to relax is vital to our health, well-being and optimal functioning. Learn how to activate your body’s natural relaxation response in these sessions presented by Neesha Patel, Ph.D., Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being.

ASAP support groups

The Academic and Staff Assistance Program (ASAP) offers several online support group sessions for UC Davis and UC Davis Health community members. Multiple dates are available for each group session. Registration is required. To learn more about each support group and register, click here.

Navigating difficult relationships

Join others in a supportive and confidential space to cultivate strength and resilience to navigate challenging workplace relationships.

Dates: Tuesday, March 3, 10 and 24
Time: 5 – 6 p.m.

Eldercare support group

Participants will have the opportunity to share personal experiences with eldercare, learn about community resources, and obtain guidance on relevant topics.

Dates: Wednesday, March 4 and 18
Time: Noon – 1 p.m.

Support group for neurodivergent staff

This is a caring space for neurodivergent staff at UC Davis to share ideas and support one another in using their strengths to cultivate professional effectiveness, emotional well-being, mindful living, and interpersonal understanding. 

Dates: Monday, March 9 and 23
Time: 1 – 2:30 p.m.
