A range of mental health and well-being activities are available to members of the UC Davis and UC Davis Health community. Check out the events happening this month:
Growing as a Community: Beyond Division Toward Collective Healing with Kazu Haga
In times of escalating violence and division, our instinct is often to speed up, to do more, to fight harder. But what if the path to justice, healing, and belonging begins with slowing down?

Snow Wonder: A Winter-Themed Wellness Challenge
Join this 4-week virtual challenge to keep wellness a priority and strengthen healthy habits over the holiday season. Uncover vibrant winter scenes through tracking your physical activity and healthy eating progress. Participants have the chance to win prizes throughout the challenge.

Relax and Release series
Taking time to relax is vital to our health, well-being and optimal functioning. Learn how to activate your body’s natural relaxation response in these sessions presented by Neesha Patel, Ph.D., of Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being.
Dates: Wednesdays, Nov. 5 and Nov. 19

Live Online Mindfulness Meditation, Kindness Meditation and Mindful Pause:
Focus on your health and well-being and strengthen your inner resources with science-based mindfulness meditation, kindness meditation, and mindful pause. These sessions will be led by Neesha Patel, Ph.D., of Staff and Faculty Health and Well-being.
One-time registration for each category will allow you access to all Zoom sessions in that series. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email.

ASAP support groups
Academic and Staff Assistance Program offers several online support group sessions for UC Davis and UC Davis Health community members. Multiple dates are available for each group session. Registration is required. To learn more about each support group, click here.
Coping with grief during the holidays
When you have lost a loved one, the holiday season can be a painful reminder of the loss you are feeling. However, there are steps you can take to make the holidays bearable and move forward in the healing process. Join this free workshop in a supportive atmosphere which will help you prepare for the holidays after the death of a loved one.

Participants will have the opportunity to share personal experiences with eldercare, learn about resources in the community and obtain guidance on relevant topics.

This is a caring space for neurodivergent staff at UC Davis to share ideas and support each other in utilizing strengths to cultivate – professional effectiveness, emotional well-being, mindful living, and interpersonal understanding.
