Get ready for 'Try Transit Month' this October
Whether you are going to work, running errands, or attending a Kings game at Golden 1, the bus or light rail can get you there! Sacramento Regional Transit offers a number of services throughout Sacramento County, all while being more cost efficient than driving your car, and better for the environment by reducing emissions.
If you have never taken public transit before, the bus and light rail can seem a bit daunting. To help you feel more comfortable and confident, the Green Commuter Program has teamed up with Sacramento Regional Transit to teach you all you need to know about regional transit.
Light Rail Field Trip
Familiarize yourself with Sacramento's light rail system by going on an organized field trip with the Green Commuter team.

Registration Required: Register on Eventbrite
The field trip is completely free to participants who register!
Participants will meet outside the Cypress Building and walk about 1/2 mile to the 39th Street Light Rail Station. The group will then take the Gold Line Light Rail up a few stops and back, returning to the 48th Street Station. The walk returning to campus is about ½ mile and will end at the Imaging Research Center.
