Be Smart About Safety: Funds available for improvement projects

Applications due December 31

(SACRAMENTO)

Be Smart About Safety (BSAS) is a funding mechanism that allows UC locations to reduce losses and the associated costs in employee injuries, general liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, automobile liability and property damage.

If you have a brilliant idea on how to improve safety in one of these areas of UC Davis Health, now is the time to apply for funding for your project through the UC Be Smart About Safety (BSAS) program.

BSAS funds have been used in past years to initiate new safety programs, provide staff safety training/development, purchase safety equipment and supplies, address human and property security concerns, and fund capital improvements directly related to life safety.

The application deadline is Dec. 31, 2025.
