Join the UC Davis Health team for Parkinson’s Moving Day

(SACRAMENTO)

Would you like to help raise funds for a worthy cause and celebrate UC Davis’ designation as a Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence? Join the UC Davis Health team for this year’s Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day Sacramento event on Sat., May 18 at Sutter's Fort State Historic Park.

This will be a fun, family-friendly event that includes fitness demonstrations, information booths, the signature "We Move" ceremony and of course, the Moving Day Walk.

The event, sponsored by the Parkinson’s Foundation, raises money for advancing research toward a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Norika Malhado-Chang, M.D., and Laura Sperry, MSN, ANP-C, from the Department of Neurology and Jamie Dixon from the Health Sciences Development and Alumni Relations Department are co-captains of the UC Davis Health team.

“At UC Davis Health, we are proud to deliver cutting-edge and comprehensive care for people with Parkinson’s disease and their families through a multidisciplinary team approach,” Malhado-Chang said. “We are also excited to collaborate nationally and internationally on clinical and translational research projects that are aimed at ensuring a brighter tomorrow for those with PD.”
