List of virtual UC Davis Black history celebrations
Two important commemorations of African-American and Black history are coming up soon. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, on Jan. 17, recognizes the enduring impact of American Baptist minister and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. Additionally, throughout the month of February, UC Davis will celebrate Black History Month — a recognition of the importance and immeasurable achievements of the Black community.
To help staff engage with these meaningful recognitions throughout January and February, here is a list of virtual events at the UC Davis and UC Davis Health campuses relating to contemporary and historic Black culture, as well as social justice. All events included below are free and accessible to students, faculty and staff at all locations.
