Migration update: Email migration nears completion, SharePoint migration coming soon!

(SACRAMENTO)

The Microsoft 365 (M365) Migration team is pleased to announce that the majority of M365 email migrations are complete, except for the remaining Faculty members, who are scheduled to migrate on July 7 and 8. In addition, there is still some cleanup work to do. Thank you all for your continued patience and support throughout this first phase of the project.

As the team wraps up final clean-up efforts, we now turn our attention to the next major milestone: the SharePoint migration.

What is the SharePoint migration?

Similar to the email migration, this phase involves transitioning SharePoint sites from the Campus environment to the new, more secure Health environment. Once your site has been migrated, you’ll use your Health email credentials to access SharePoint.

What to expect

The SharePoint migration is scheduled to begin in July and is expected to proceed quickly. The migration will start with smaller sites and gradually progress to larger, more complex ones. Our goal is to streamline the process as much as possible. Site owners will be contacted directly with specific instructions and next steps.

More details—including timelines and communications—will be shared soon. Stay tuned!
