No Circling Required: Your parking problems just got solved
Hundreds of UC Davis Health employees have started using Parking Structure 7 (PS7) near the MIND Institute off 50th Street. PS7 has 1,250 parking stalls. Originally scheduled to open in September, PS7 was fast-tracked by leadership to help relieve parking congestion across the Sacramento campus.
Good News: There’s Plenty of Parking Available

Since opening on August 20, the structure has seen steady use — but the top floors remain largely empty. Employees are encouraged to take advantage of the ample parking throughout the garage, especially on upper levels. A convenient shuttle stop is located near PS7.
Pro-Tip:
- Enter PS7 from 50th Street via Broadway and avoid the construction traffic (on 2nd and X street).
What to Know About PS7
- B-permits required: PS7 is reserved for UC Davis Health employees with monthly or daily B permits.
- EV charging stations are not yet active: ChargePoint stations are installed but are still undergoing testing. EV drivers may park in designated spaces, but cannot yet charge.
- Entry/exit gates offline: Gate equipment is finalized and activated once installation and testing are complete.
- Landscaping and visibility work is ongoing: Crews continue to work on fencing, tree planting, and visibility accommodations for neighbors.
We appreciate your patience as we complete the final touches. In the meantime, enjoy the extra breathing room — and the open spots — in PS7.
And, if you choose to park on the top level, enjoy the view of the UC Davis Health campus!
