Before you park: A Monday reminder for March 2

(SACRAMENTO)

Monday morning, March 2, marks an important change for Parking Structure 4 (PS4) as UC Davis Health continues to expand patient access for the 48X Complex. The latest D-permit lottery update for PS4 shows that 1,000 of 1,145 submissions were selected, an 87% selection rate.

Parking Structure 4 (PS4)

Beginning Monday, PS4 will transition to expanded patient parking, with limited employee access during the workday.

The ground floor and the ramp to the second floor will be reserved for patients and visitors. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, employee parking in PS4 will be limited to D-permit holders only.

Employees with B permits may park in PS4 from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m., Monday through Friday, and at any time on weekends and holidays.

Employee access to PS4 will require an employee ID badge that has been set up in advance through Parking and Transportation Services. Previously issued access cards will no longer work. Vehicles entering with a pulled ticket will be required to pay upon exit.

Parking and Transportation Services appreciates everyone’s flexibility as UC Davis Health balances employee parking needs with patient convenience.

Employee parking options if you cannot use PS4

Parking Structure 7 (PS7)

Employees who cannot park in PS4 during the day have several options:

  • Parking Structure 7 (PS7): Employees with a B permit or a daily permit may park in PS7. This employee-only garage typically has consistent availability and includes a campus shuttle stop and an express shuttle to the medical center during shift changes.
    • Express shuttle service operates Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 9 a.m. and 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
    • EV charging stations are available.
  • Broadway Building parking: Parking is available for employees with B permits or daily permits. The Broadway Building is also served by the parking shuttle route.
  • Aggie Square Garage (ASG): Located about the same distance from the medical center as PS4. Daily permits are available to health campus employees and can be purchased through the HONK app. Monthly D permits are also available for eligible employees.
  • Daily parking permits: Employees may also use daily permits via ParkMobile at designated B-permit locations.
