New resources supporting proper waste practices

At UC Davis Health, we remain committed to protecting the health and safety of our patients, staff, and community while upholding our responsibility as good environmental stewards. Proper waste disposal is a key part of this commitment.

As highlighted in this Insider article, “Internal waste audit: Progress made, work still needed,” independent auditors carefully examined how we’re handling waste across our facilities. Their review reinforced the importance of everyone doing their part to ensure items go in the right bins.

To help make that easier, we’ve created another quick-reference flyer and additional resources that summarizes key waste disposal practices for items. They are designed for easy posting in high-traffic areas like break rooms, nurse stations, supply rooms, and huddle boards.
