See the winning design for the 2026 Thank Goodness for Staff event
Congratulations to Thanh Huynh for his excellent winning entry in this year's Thank Goodness for Staff graphic design contest!
"My background is in business marketing. I love brainstorming creative ideas and creating art," Huynh said. "I wanted to do something simple, yet meaningful. As for my design, I am inspired by women and their resilience. They are the backbone to UC Davis Health and are truly the queens of the City of Sacramento. Hence, her crown is made up of the city buildings. Lastly, our state flower, the California poppy, is representing the queens of Sacramento."

Thanh is the thoracic surgery residency administrator, fourth-year student coordinator for the Department of Surgery Education. He has been with UC Davis Health for about four years.
To celebrate his winning design, Staff Assembly presented Huynh with a gift bag of items crafted right here on the UC Davis campus.
"We were delighted to see the incredible talent showcased by our colleagues across our organization, highlighted by the 10 entries received this year," a Staff Assembly representative said. "Let's give a round of applause to all the staff members who shared their outstanding talents this year! Thank you to everyone who voted on the designs, too. It was fun to have you all participate in the contest this way."
Staff Assembly looks forward to seeing everyone's submissions again next year, and congratulations, Thanh Huynh!
