Update: Regulated Waste Disposal Training
A new, streamlined regulated waste disposal training has been assigned to all employees. The updated module is shorter, practical, and focused on the materials staff handle every day. It has been automatically assigned through the UC Learning Center and must be completed by April 1.
Proper regulated waste disposal helps maintain clean, safe spaces that support patient confidence, safety, and trust; small details matter and are noticed. It is also an important part of UC Davis Health’s sustainability efforts, helping reduce environmental impact and ensure waste is handled responsibly. By disposing of materials correctly, each of us contributes to a safer care environment and a healthier community.
As of today, 46% of employees have completed the training.
Action needed:
- Complete the required training in the UC Learning Center by the April 1 deadline.
- Apply proper regulated waste disposal practices in your daily work.
Updated regulated waste posters, flyers, and additional resources are available on The Insider (VPN required if off campus). If you have questions, please contact safety@health.ucdavis.edu.
