Want to practice self-compassion and learn grounding techniques?
Join ASAP wellness-focused workshops this March
The Academic and Staff Assistance Program (ASAP), through a UC Office of the President grant, is excited to invite UC Davis and UC Davis Health community members to a series of wellness-focused workshops throughout the month of March.
These workshops are part of UC Davis’ initiative funded by the UC Presidential grant to address antisemitism, Islamophobia, and other forms of bias and discrimination – that aims to foster a safe, inclusive campus. With this funding, ASAP is developing mental health and trauma-support programs to equip UC Davis employees with tools to navigate stress, build resilience, and foster collective well-being.

“The workshops funded by this grant aim to offer diverse self-care experiences, build a sense of community with a shared language around support – and emphasize that no one needs to face trauma or stress alone. By creating a space for self-reflection and connection, we hope participants feel supported and empowered. I look forward to continuing to co-learn and reflect with colleagues in these spaces.” – Sheetal Shah, psychologist, UC Davis Health
Staff are encouraged to join these free workshops, which explore topics such as self-compassion, grounding techniques, stress management, and secondary trauma with expert facilitators.
