Andrew Bresnahan, M.S.N., R.N., NEA-BC

Vice President, UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, Cell and Gene Therapy

Bresnahan is the Vice President of the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and Cell and Gene Therapy at UC Davis Health. He provides strategic and operational leadership across inpatient and outpatient oncology services, infusion centers and the Cancer Care Network, while also overseeing the development and expansion of the Cell and Gene Therapy service line.

Andrew’s expertise encompasses strategic planning, regulatory compliance, and the development of innovative care models. His leadership has consistently focused on enhancing patient-centered care, optimizing operational efficiencies and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration.

Bresnahan brings more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience, most recently serving as the Director of Oncology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. There, he led operations for inpatient and outpatient cell therapy departments, oncology services, apheresis center and the cell lab. He played a pivotal role in establishing CAR-T, TIL and non-malignant programs, advancing cell and gene therapy initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry regulatory and accreditation standards.

He has also served as a voting member of system-wide pharmacy and value analysis committees and was a representative on the NCCN Best Practice Committee.

Bresnahan holds a Master of Science in nursing with a focus on health systems leadership from Lewis University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Toledo. He is a board-certified advanced nurse executive and a recipient of the Illinois Nurses Foundation 40 Under 40 award.
