Executive Director, Ambulatory Operations

Nguyen is Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations at UC Davis Health. She provides strategic and operational leadership across 12 regional care clinics, supporting both primary and specialty services. Her portfolio includes oversight of the Community Physician Group (CPG) primary care clinics in Carmichael, Rancho Cordova, Auburn, Rocklin, Roseville and Folsom. She also oversees Occupational Employee Health Services, Outpatient Dietary Services and facilities operations for the Folsom Medical Office Building.

Nguyen collaborates closely with practice managers, medical directors, School of Medicine CPG leadership and department chairs to drive improvements in clinic efficiency, financial performance and patient experience. Her role includes evaluating new ambulatory program proposals, guiding implementation and aligning operations with institutional goals for quality, safety and access.

With more than 20 years of experience at UC Davis Health, Nguyen has advanced through multiple leadership roles, from back-office and front-office supervisor to practice manager to her current role. She has led initiatives in digital health, quality improvement and staff engagement, including the expansion of MyChart video visits and the development of care management workflows for high-risk patients.

She holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in health care management from Western Governors University. She is an active participant in systemwide leadership programs and quality committees, and is committed to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
