Tompkins is Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations at UC Davis Health, where she provides strategic and operational leadership of specialty clinics that include OB/GYN, the Fetal Care Treatment Center and the Prenatal Diagnostic Centers. She also manages various pediatric specialties, including endocrinology, infectious diseases, allergy, and neurology, at the MIND Institute and more. She collaborates with managers and medical directors to drive performance, enhance patient satisfaction and ensure the delivery of patient-centered care.
Previously, Tompkins served as director of hospital operations, overseeing Employee Health Services, the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Therapies Program, the Asymptomatic Testing Program for COVID-19, and the Living Fit Forever Wellness Program for employees. She served as the Joint Venture Liaison for the UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital.
With over two decades of experience at UC Davis Health, Tompkins brings a strong clinical foundation in medical speech-language pathology, focusing on pediatric rehabilitation and feeding therapy. She has led multiple program expansions, including programming the buildout of the Point West PM&R Clinic and opening the Pediatric Heart Clinic at Cadillac Drive.
Tompkins earned a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, Sacramento, graduating with Phi Kappa Phi honors, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Louisiana, Monroe.
Outside of work, she enjoys camping, traveling and spending time with her husband, two daughters and their red fox Labrador.
