In his interim role, Del Pizzo oversees all outpatient care at 74 clinics at 32 locations throughout Northern California. The role is responsible for providing clinical leadership to a rapidly growing ambulatory clinical enterprise that is part of a progressive integrated health system.
As executive director for Ancillary Services, Del Pizzo provides operational oversight for a wide range of therapeutic and diagnostic departments. He is actively involved in multiple ambulatory expansion projects and programmatic planning efforts, such as infusion strategies.
With over 25 years of experience in acute and ambulatory care settings, including 12 years of direct patient care as a registered vascular sonographer, Del Pizzo is committed to improving patient access, experiences, quality, safety, and performance.
As a leader, he understands the importance of departmental culture and morale and fosters trustworthy and respectful relationships with his colleagues.
Del Pizzo earned a B.S. in medical imaging from the Oregon Institute of Technology and a master's degree in health and health care administration from Chapman University. His research and expertise have been published in the Journal of Vascular Ultrasound and multiple editions of Strandness's Duplex Scanning in Vascular Disorders.
