Philosophy of Care

Being a family physician allows me to care for people of all ages, from newborns, children, pregnant women, and the elderly. I particularly appreciate that as a part of UC Davis I have the opportunity to care for my pregnant patients, deliver them in the hospital, and continue to care for them and their new babies thereafter. I enjoy caring for the whole family as I believe our health is not separate from our family and our community.  

I believe strongly in preventative care. I feel it is important that patients understand what their disease is, what the treatment options are, and how their participation in the treatment plan can speed recovery. As a UC Davis Medical Group physician, I appreciate that I have immediate access to a wide array of specialists at UC Davis Medical Center, an excellent academic center.

Clinical Interests

As a family practitioner, Kelly A. Griffin works with a diverse group of children and adults in all stages of life, including obstetric and pediatric patients. She also enjoys alternative and international medicine.
