Supporting Medical Research

The School of Medicine Office of Research manages research awards and proposals, oversees laboratory safety and research space, and provides researchers with guidance and support for grant submissions. It also facilitates industry alliances and program evaluation and offers pre-award support to our departments and research centers.

A Collaborative Research Community

Our strength as a research powerhouse lies in a collaborative culture and innovative partnerships across UC Davis. UC Davis School of Medicine is consistently ranked as a leading research institution. In fiscal year 2023-24, we achieved $400 million in external research funding. UC Davis as a whole exceeded $1 billion in external research funding for the third consecutive year.
