Charlene Green, Psy.D., is the Assistant Dean of Admissions, Outreach and Diversity at the UC Davis School of Medicine. She oversees programmatic and administrative matters related to admissions, pathway programs, and student and resident diversity initiatives. She previously served as the Director of Outreach, Recruitment and Retention in the Office of Medical Education’s Office for Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
Green leads the Community of Practice efforts for the UC Davis National Center for a Diverse Healthcare Workforce (led by Dr. Tonya Fancher), facilitating forums and ensuring stakeholders and partners create and implement institutional actional plans for building a diverse and inclusive learning environment. She is the principal investigator for grants supporting the Avenue M California Medicine Scholars Program, the California Postbaccalaureate Consortium and the Huwighurruk Tribal Health Postbaccalaureate Program.
Green is an adjunct faculty member with Los Rios Community College District, where she teaches human career development and psychology courses. She is also an assistant volunteer clinical faculty member in the Department of Public Health Sciences.
Green is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She holds a doctor of psychology degree in human and organizational psychology from Touro University and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of San Francisco. She received a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Sacramento State and an associate’s degree from American River College.
