The MIND Institute's Child Life Program organizes fun events that are free and open to everyone in the community. These events are designed for the whole family to enjoy and include activities that are suitable for kids with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Some of the events we've had in the past include movie nights, family game nights, trunk-or-treat events, and a family resource fair where you can find helpful resources.
We will notify families when registration opens on this page. You can find the registration information posted about 1 to 2 months before the event takes place. This way, you'll have plenty of time to secure your spot and join in on the fun!
Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram to stay informed about upcoming events.
The RSVP link will be posted closer to the event.
The Fall Festival is a sensory-friendly, family-oriented event tailored for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Open to the entire community, the festival features a trunk-or-treat experience with creatively decorated vehicles, costumed volunteers distributing treats, engaging games, and interactive activities. The event offers a safe, welcoming environment where families can connect and celebrate together.
The RSVP link will be posted closer to the event.
The Child Life Program hosts a free and sensory friendly Movie Night. Our goal is to offer families a movie theatre experience designed with their child’s sensory needs in mind, with areas for breaks, refreshments, alternate activities and sensory supports.
