How To Apply | Neurology Residency | UC Davis Health

ERAS is used for both the Main Residency Match and the Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP). All applications are submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) is used for ranking and matching. All application materials must be received through ERAS (no paper applications will be accepted, including CVs). Interviews will be conducted through the months of October through January with no interviews being scheduled during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. All interviews and social events will be conducted virtually.

For the 2025 ERAS® cycle, the supplemental ERAS questions are designed to help applicants share more information about themselves and assist our program in finding applicants that fit our program's setting and mission. 

The supplemental ERAS® application provides:

• geographic preferences (by division and by urban or rural setting); 
• information about an applicant’s most meaningful experiences and other impactful life events, if applicable; and
• program signals.

• Social Hour with our residents the week of your interview day
• Introduction and Welcome from our Chair and Program Director
• 3 Interviews – All applicants meet with the Program Director and two additional faculty members
• Coffee Talk and Faculty Spotlight – In between interviews, applicants will meet with our Associate Program Director and residents to learn more about our program and meet an additional faculty member
• The day will close with a wrap up thank you and well wishes from our Program Director
• We will offer virtual Grand Rounds and resident didactics dates for optional attendance 
• To ensure an equitable experience for applicants, we will not be offering any in-person experiences – including second looks.
