Being given the diagnosis of a brain tumor can be one the most frightening experiences in a patient’s life, whether the tumor is benign or malignant. The barrage of information and the decisions that patients and their families suddenly face present a daunting challenge. In order to help meet this challenge, the Sacramento Area Brain tumor support group was formed in 1990 to provide emotional support and educational programs to brain tumor patients and their families. The group is open to all patients with benign and malignant brain tumor disease at any stage. Patients' family members and friends are encouraged to participate.

Meetings

The support group meets the first Wednesday of every month from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM and are currently on a virtual platform.  Please contact Breana Sanchez to receive additional information on support group participation.
