Dr. Tushir-Singh’s research focuses on generating protein therapeutics in the antibody engineering space. His lab brings several years of industrial and academic experience in antibody humanization, bispecific designs, and engineering antibody-peptide conjugates using IgG1 and smaller scFv-based formats.
The loss of his grandmother to ovarian cancer instilled in him a strong personal motivation to study this disease. This experience drives his interest in ovarian cancer cell signaling, death receptors (DR5 and Fas activation biology), CAR-T strategies, cancer immunology approaches, and targeted protein and peptide design. He is also interested in understanding the mechanisms behind the differential clinical response of T-cell-based immunotherapies in solid versus liquid tumors.
He leverages these insights to design the next generation of effective therapeutics against ovarian and other solid tumors.
